Workplace Health & Safety - Off to the Show we go!

Last year, my colleague Kris Brown and I were tasked with identifying the best conferences to attend to capture new markets.

Since 2019, we've had great success in the Fire Industry, establishing PlanStudio as a leading product for the automation of indoor mapping and creating Evacuation Plans and signs. However, we wanted to find the right audience to promote Locatrix and our online induction platform, PlanSafe.

Recognising that our existing PlanSafe customers often focus on Facility Management or Work Health Safety, I attended the Workplace Health & Safety Show conference in Sydney last October. Held at Olympic Park, the event was packed with exhibitors and attendees and had an exciting energy which I was surprised to experience. Impressive companies like SafetyCulture , Arventa , Safe-sight.Ai, HSI Donesafe, WHS Monitor were present.

I enjoyed conversations with stand representatives, many of them asking why we were not exhibiting at the show.  Almost every one of them knew of Locatrix (proud marketing moment) and were curious as to why we didn’t have a stand there, each identifying that PlanStudio's capability to quickly capture and update indoor floor plans could complement many businesses nicely.

For example, PlanStudio can enhance asset tracking products with location accuracy, strengthen safety software by showing where WHS procedures play out, assist with site-specific details for online training systems, and aid in space management for interior design.

One thing agreed upon by all – having access to and keeping floor plans up to date digitally was a real challenge.

From these insights, we booked our stand A33 and we are ready to roll! This will be my first time working a stand at a conference instead of just attending, but this terror is sweetened by the idea of a hotel room of my own and a few nights away from cooking for hungry teenagers and ferrying them from one sporting complex to another!  My husband will be kept busy and no doubt look forward to my return.

And I looooooove Melbourne.....

Even though the Workplace Health and Safety is a new gig for us, It is important to note that this is this market is not new to us.

With over 464,000 active learners already using PlanSafe for WHS customisable training, PlanSafe is a well-oiled machine relied upon by some of the most recognised businesses including Qantas , Commonwealth Bank and McDonald's .

It can't be denied, online training has found its place in the world - either complementing face-to-face training or ensuring quick and confident instruction distribution.

Our solutions, PlanStudio and PlanSafe, work together to provide critical building information to Emergency Services through Locatrix’s Emergency Services Platform. This free service for Emergency Services helps enhance situational awareness for First Responders, improving safety outcomes for all in the case of an emergency. With over 135,000,000 sqm of buildings mapped, our database is rapidly growing and kept up to date by certifiers nationwide.  For me, this is the most critical piece of the Locatrix puzzle.
