Orange County, California (often referred to as O.C.), is a major region in Southern California situated between Los Angeles and San Diego counties. It has built a strong organisational culture around workplace safety and emergency preparedness.
Facility managers are responsible for ensuring staff receive the training required to maintain high safety standards across their sites. This includes ensuring employees understand emergency procedures, evacuation routes and safety responsibilities, while maintaining compliance with annual safety audits.
As the organisation grew, delivering consistent emergency preparedness training across multiple buildings and more than 50,000 square feet of facilities became increasingly difficult using traditional methods.
Delivering emergency preparedness training at scale
Before adopting PlanSafe®, Orange County relied on paper-based emergency preparedness training and face-to-face sessions.

Visual, site-specific emergency preparedness training

Through the platform, staff access training that includes:

Because training is linked to specific buildings and roles, employees receive information relevant to their own workplace environment.
The system also enables safety officers to send incident notifications and emergency alerts to relevant staff, ensuring trained personnel can respond quickly when needed.
PlanSafe®’s reporting dashboard allows the organisation to track training completion and compliance across the entire workforce, supporting annual safety audits.
