Concept Safety Systems (CSS) has undergone a rebrand, and as of 29th March 2019 will be adopting the Locatrix brand as its trading name.
CSS acquired Locatrix in February 2018, and since then the direction and development of the business has changed and increased exponentially.
While Concept Safety Systems will remain our holding company, this new era of the business is set to bring more insight into safety and technology than ever before.
Locatrix has always been focused on location-based services, specifically in terms of locating people inside a building in the event of an emergency.
This model came about in response to the tragedy that occurred in New York on 11th September 2001, and CSS recognised Locatrix’s strengths in this area. By combining its spatial technology with CSS’ already established presence in Australian fire and safety training, the acquisition of Locatrix was not only a significant event for both organisations, but also the next logical step in terms of continued progression.
“Our path forward will be a unique one. Providing emergency procedures and spatially accurate floor plans to building owners, certifiers, the fire maintenance industry and in particular First Responders means ours is an innovation agenda, and with stronger technology solutions to support this unique sector – we believe that Locatrix better reflects this focus,” said CEO, John Hummelstad.
As a result of the name change, we would like to also announce the launch of our new website, www.locatrix.com. The organisation will be providing its services under this new name.
To our valued clients, partners, and the wider safety industry, we thank you for your continued support and commitment to our vision for keeping you safe. We look forward to all that will be achieved as we begin our journey as Locatrix.
