Benefon’s products integrate global GSM communications services with GPS positioning, utilising clear mapping and cartography.

In August 2006, Benefon announced an extension of its partnership with Locatrix Communications, whereby their TWIG Discovery integrated GPS navigation and mobile phone devices would use Locatrix’s advanced web-based tracking and location technology, in both consumer and commercial applications.  These applications are now available in multiple European and Nordic markets, as well as in South Africa, the Americas, and China.

The Locatrix partnership further enhances Benefon’s competitiveness in the location based services market, while also signalling the arrival of new services such as TWIG Alert and TWIG Friend Finder.
